Requirements

Ability to lift, carry, and put down up to fifty (50) pounds on a continuous basis.
Repeated lifting and placing down of children required.
Successful completion of the FDLE Background Screening.
Must complete prior to the first day of employment the on-line Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect Training (4-hour course).
Must complete within ninety (90) days of hire the state mandated Early Literacy for Children Birth to Three childcare trainings (5-hour course).
Complete yearly in-service trainings provided by the NSU University School Preschool.
Bachelor's Degree
Major (if required: In field or 12 credits in field

Nice To Haves

Valid State of Florida Certification Certificate.
Master's Degree.
One (1) year of successful experience in teaching.

Responsibilities

Plans and implements an appropriate curriculum.
Establishes an enriching, safe, and clean classroom and playground environment.
Demonstrates effective class management.
Designs and develops learning materials.
Establishes and maintains open lines of communication with participating parents and coworkers.
Fulfills work obligations including: promptness, staff meetings, open house attendance, and parent orientations.
Maintains a professional posture regarding program participants, co-workers, and administration.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
