About The Position

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a qualified Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to join an Illinois school district for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a part-time, in-person opportunity requiring 2–3 days per week and is well suited for an educator who is passionate about accessible instruction and helping students with hearing differences achieve their educational goals.

Requirements

Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL).
Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) endorsement required.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Deaf Education or a related discipline.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a DHH educational setting preferred, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Provide specialized instruction and individualized support based on each student's academic and communication needs.
Work closely with classroom educators, related service professionals, school leadership, and families to coordinate services and promote consistent support across the school day.
Support and monitor progress toward IEP objectives.
Participate in educational planning and student support meetings.
Deliver instruction tailored to students' individual learning needs.
Adapt instructional methods to improve accessibility and engagement.
Encourage student independence, confidence, and academic development.
Maintain communication with families and multidisciplinary team members.
