About The Position

Mapleton Public Schools is seeking a Teacher for Multilingual Learners for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will be located at various district locations, including Achieve Academy and Clayton Partnership. The role involves collaborating with classroom teachers to provide language instruction and English Language Development (ELD) services for identified students. This collaboration can include co-planning, co-teaching, push-in small groups, and pull-out small groups. The teacher will model best practices for language acquisition, make student-centered decisions, and build strong professional relationships. A deep understanding of current language acquisition and dual language research, as well as teaching and learning, is expected. A commitment to inclusive practices for language learners is essential. The teacher will design and deliver instructional plans aligned with the Colorado Academic Standards, utilizing district-adopted curricular resources and conducting formative assessments to guide instruction. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Colorado teaching license with an appropriate Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education endorsement required.
  • Or willingness to pursue endorsement or equivalent coursework.
  • Mandatory Title IX training is required by the Colorado Department of Education and for all public-school employees. Title IX training addresses harassment, discrimination, and bullying. Completing these mandatory Title IX training courses ensure we are meeting state requirements while continuing to foster a culture of safety and belonging across our schools. You will have two mandatory training courses that must be completed within 30 days of your date of hire and are required to be completed on your own time.
