Holy Cross School is seeking a Teacher (Inclusion - Highly Individualised Planning) to work within whole-school initiatives to address the diverse needs of students with extensive needs through a culture of inclusiveness, focusing on the holistic growth and development of each student. This role contributes to the quality of educational outcomes for students with extensive needs enrolled at Holy Cross School. The school is formally opened in 1987 and is an integral component of the Northern Beaches Parish of Cairns. It is grounded in a reputation of innovation, having introduced internationally acclaimed Walker Learning in 2017, an Australian based total and holistic pedagogy for primary aged children. The school embraces personalised self-driven ‘flip’ learning platforms and provides one-to-one devices for students in Years 3 to 6, with shared devices available in lower years. Holy Cross School lives and breathes its Catholic identity as a place of welcoming and belonging for all. With two teams of highly skilled School Officers (Team Wellbeing and Team Learning), teachers pride themselves on being able to offer an authentic wholly inclusive curriculum ensuring every child can meet their full potential. It is a fully accredited Dyslexia School and is culturally diverse, with students enjoying a rich tapestry of languages, life experiences and cultural histories.
