About The Position

Our Early Head Start programs are ready to hire Teacher II’s to join the team in our Early Education Services Department. We are looking for compassionate, energetic, and dependable individuals committed to building a learning classroom for children receiving services. In this role, you will spend most of your time providing eight children with a fun, positive, safe, and secure classroom environment and supervising and supporting your teacher. Play will guide your day as you create an energetic classroom filled with activities that meet the needs of children’s interests and differing skills. You will encourage responsibility, independence, and problem-solving through open-ended questions while maintaining a clean and organized classroom with your Teacher I support. Meal times are a routine that allows you to help facilitate a variety of self-help skills while ensuring accurate documentation of the CACFP meal program.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • 2+ years of related experiences
  • Associate degree in Early Childhood or related field with a minimum of 12 credits related to infant/toddler development OR Unrelated Associates Degree with 120 hours of formal early education training covering ages 0-3 and 480 hours of professional experience in a 0-3 age group setting
  • A clean five-year motor vehicle history and a valid Arizona Driver’s license
  • A level one fingerprint clearance card or the ability to obtain one prior to starting
