About The Position

This position is for a High School Social Studies Teacher. The role requires knowledge of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS) and New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA). The teacher will be expected to implement effective instructional practices and strategies, and utilize data to drive instruction. The position is pending budget availability and is open for ten (10) consecutive days following the date posted or until filled. Requirements

• Must hold New Jersey K-12 Social Studies certificate.
• Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA.
• Effective instructional practices and strategies.
• Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction.
• Experience working with adolescent students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character.
• Must be a critical thinker, problem solver, and respect others.
• Must be computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community.
