About The Position

This position is for a Grade 9-12 Social Studies Teacher. The role requires knowledge of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS) and New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA), effective instructional practices, and the ability to use data to drive instruction. The ideal candidate will have experience working with adolescent students, possess excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character. Additionally, the candidate must be a critical thinker, problem solver, respectful of others, and computer literate with the ability to use interactive computer instructional software. Effective oral and written communication skills with staff, students, parents, and the community are essential. Requirements

  • Must hold a New Jersey middle school or K-12 Social Studies certificate.
  • Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA.
  • Effective instructional practices and strategies.
  • Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction.
  • Experience working with adolescent students.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character.
  • Must be a critical thinker, problem solver, and respect others.
  • Must be computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community.
