About The Position

SANY’s Utica Academy of Science Charter School’s Junior-Senior High School is excited to announce openings for the Social Studies Teacher (Grades 7-12) for the 2026-27 Academic Year. The school is located at 160 School Ln., Frankfort, NY, 13340. We are looking for dynamic and creative Teachers. We have a great environment for new teachers and encourage experienced teachers to apply! New York State Certification is required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required
New York State Certification is required
Fingerprint clearance through the NYS Department of Education

Responsibilities

Provide engaging lesson plans that conform to the charter's curriculum
Collaborate with staff to determine the charter requirements for the instructional goals, objectives, and methods
Be ready to prepare students for the standardized tests relevant to the content area
Have excellent content knowledge and pedagogy
Welcome the use of analytics and data to help drive instruction and promote learning
