About The Position

Paterson Public Schools is seeking a qualified Teacher for Grade 6-8 Math. This position requires a candidate who can effectively instruct middle school students in mathematics, utilizing knowledge of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS) and New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA). The ideal candidate will employ effective instructional practices and strategies, analyze data to inform instruction, and possess excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character. A critical thinker and problem solver who respects others, the candidate must also be computer literate and capable of using interactive computer instructional software. Effective oral and written communication skills are essential for interacting with staff, students, parents, and the community. This position is pending budget availability and is open for ten (10) consecutive days following the date posted or until filled. Requirements

• Must hold New Jersey Middle School with Subject matter Specialization in Mathematics certificate or K-12 Mathematics certificate
• Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA
• Effective instructional practices and strategies
• Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction
• Experience working with elementary students
• Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character
• Must be a critical thinker, problem solver, and respect others
• Must be computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community
