About The Position
The Teacher Float position is a part-time role that requires flexibility to move between classrooms, such as preschool or toddler rooms. This position holds the same qualifications and responsibilities as a standard Teacher role. The opening is located at the State Street Early Learning Center at Hale Family YMCA.
Requirements
- Must hold EEC Teacher certification through the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.
- Knowledge of EEC regulations, QRIS Standards, and NAEYC best practices.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.
Responsibilities
- Develop engaging lesson plans that support children's physical, cognitive, and emotional development, across whichever classroom you're covering.
- Foster strong relationships with children and families, keeping them informed of their progress.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment where every child feels valued.
- Work with each classroom's team of educators to maintain a positive, cohesive atmosphere.
- Maintain compliance with EEC regulations, NAEYC best practices, and quality standards.
