About The Position
The Teacher Float position is a part-time role requiring a Monday through Friday schedule. Floaters move between classrooms, such as preschool or toddler rooms, and hold the same qualifications and responsibilities as a standard Teacher role. This position is located at the State Street Early Learning Center at Hale Family YMCA.
Requirements
- Must hold EEC Teacher certification through the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.
- Knowledge of EEC regulations, QRIS Standards, and NAEYC best practices.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans that support children's physical, cognitive, and emotional development across various classrooms.
- Nurture and support children and families, keeping them informed of their progress.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment where every child feels valued.
- Collaborate with classroom teams to maintain a positive and cohesive atmosphere.
- Ensure compliance with EEC regulations, NAEYC best practices, and quality standards.
