About The Position
The Learning Experience – East Brunswick is seeking a dependable and energetic Part-Time Float Teacher to join our afternoon team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety and loves working with children of different ages. As a Float Teacher, you'll support Infant, Toddler, and Preschool classrooms during the busiest part of the day, helping ensure every child receives exceptional care and every classroom runs smoothly.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare, daycare, preschool, or school setting preferred
- Reliable, flexible, and comfortable working with multiple age groups
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide classroom support for Infant, Toddler, and Preschool programs as needed
- Assist Lead Teachers with learning activities, transitions, playground time, and end-of-day routines
- Create a warm, safe, and engaging environment where children feel supported
- Help supervise children during indoor and outdoor play
- Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and safety
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators
- Follow all New Jersey licensing regulations and center policies
