About The Position

Responsible for developing, planning, organizing, and implementing an instructional program for exceptional student education (ESE) students through curriculum, lesson plans, educational programs and individual education plan development while ensuring that all procedures are followed to maintain safety and security and to meet federal, state, local regulations. This position is for the 2026-2027 school year and is located at Seven Oaks Elementary School in Wesley Chapel, FL. It is a full-time, benefit-eligible instructional position for 196 days per year.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in the field of Exceptional Student Education, or related field, OR Approval by or participation in a state-approved certification pathway program.
  • Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate or District-issued adjunct certification, OR Valid statement of eligibility.
  • Must participate in Community-Based Instruction and Special Olympics.
  • Fingerprinting and Level II background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Nice To Haves

  • Reading Endorsement preferred.
  • Candidates with a Reading Endorsement or who are willing to sign an agreement to earn an endorsement may be prioritized for hiring.

Responsibilities

  • Potentially teaching an additional period beyond the base contract for secondary education positions, with additional compensation.
