About The Position

Cardinal Shehan School, located in Baltimore, Maryland, is seeking a qualified, full-time Elementary Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic school year. The Elementary Teacher plans, organizes, and implements the instructional program in a Catholic environment where every child is recognized as a unique child of God.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Education
• Current MSDE certification or ability to achieve required certification.
• Basic understanding and acceptance of Catholic school philosophy, goals, and objectives.
• Knowledge of and/or willingness to learn about the integration of technology into lessons.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans
• Incorporate primary sources, multimedia, and inquiry-based learning to deepen students’ understanding
• Use a variety of assessment methods to evaluate student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Promote a classroom culture of respect, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity
• Integrate technology and cross-curricular connections into lessons when appropriate
• Maintain regular communication with parents, guardians, and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom activities
• Participate in school events, professional development, and collaborative planning
• Lead a school club
• Uphold the school’s mission, values, and policies
• Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
