About The Position
SkyView Academy is seeking an Elementary Technology Teacher to provide classroom leadership and ensure the educational development of elementary school students. Teachers are responsible for adopting the school's mission and vision, aligning lesson plans with curriculum components like Core Knowledge, and committing to professional development and building relationships with families. The role involves driving the implementation of the SVA mission, modeling school culture, and accepting accountability for student achievement. Proactive communication with staff, students, and parents is essential, as is participation in school-wide professional development and continuing education. Responsibilities also include supervising students on campus, assisting with carpool, monitoring students during lunch and other activities, and disciplining students according to established guidelines. The teacher will also collaborate with another teacher to create the elementary yearbook and perform other assigned duties. Building strong relationships with parents, teachers, students, and community partners is key, as is ensuring new families are oriented to SVA expectations and culture. The role requires working with parents to increase their involvement in their students' education, establishing clear and age-appropriate expectations for behavior, and participating in the daily life of students through assemblies, recess, lunch, and special projects and events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education
- Elementary License Endorsement
- Highly Qualified
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in the use of technology
- Colorado READ Act designation, which can be acquired via the options described at https://www.cde.state.co.us/coloradoliteracy
- Colorado Department of Education, Teaching License
- Bachelor's Degree (Required)

Responsibilities
