About The Position

This position is for an Elementary Teacher for Grade 5 at Cleveland Elementary. The role involves planning, preparing, and delivering instructional activities, creating a positive learning environment, and monitoring student progress. The teacher will be responsible for assessing student performance, providing feedback, and collaborating with colleagues. The position requires flexibility, innovation, and the ability to adapt curriculum to student needs. The teacher will also be expected to maintain professional conduct and represent the School District positively.

Requirements

Valid Elementary Education Michigan Teaching certificate - ZC, ZE, ZG or ZP.
Minimum of a Bachelors Degree.
Must be Highly Qualified in endorsement area.
Must meet certification and endorsement requirements for assignment.
Must meet all NCA and Michigan Department of Education requirements.
Be proficient in the use of technology.

Nice To Haves

Grade Level Experience Preferred.
Master’s degree preferred.

Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.
Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments and provide appropriate feedback on work.
Bend, twist, stoop, squat and lift up to 50 pounds in assisting students.
Assume other responsibilities as determined by their supervising administrator.
Conducts himself/herself in a professional manner commensurate with his/her position and project a good public image of the School District in dealing with the community and employee groups.
