About The Position

The University of San Francisco (USF) School of Education, Teacher Education Department, is seeking an adjunct instructor for the Summer 2025 semester. This is a hybrid teaching position, with classes held in person at the Santa Rosa Junior College. The course to be taught is TEC 674 - Curriculum Development and Design, which focuses on what educators select to teach and how they adapt and develop curricula to provide all students with equal access to rich learning opportunities. This course is the capstone experience for the Master of Arts in Teaching program, with a core project involving the design of a cohesive instructional unit that addresses students’ diverse learning needs. The class meets on Wednesdays from 4 pm-9 pm and Saturdays from 9 am-2:30 pm, from July 8 to August 2.

Requirements

• Earned Master of Education degree.
• K-12 teaching experience.
• Relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach the course TEC 674 - Curriculum Development and Design.
• Focus on curriculum development and adapting/designing curricula for equitable learning opportunities.
• Guide students in designing a cohesive instructional unit addressing diverse learning needs as a capstone project.
