About The Position

This position is for a Teacher, CSA K-4 within Lowell Public Schools. The posting is initially open to internal transfer applicants until June 4, 2026, after which it will be open to external candidates, including long-term substitutes and other qualified employees. The role begins at the start of the 2026-2027 school year and reports to the Principal of Record.

Requirements

Certification valid for service as a teacher in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience with appropriate age group.

Responsibilities

Remain up to date regarding curriculum content.
Plan instruction effectively.
Plan assessment of student learning effectively.
Monitor students’ understanding of the curriculum effectively and adjusts instruction, materials or assessments when appropriate.
Create an environment that is positive for student learning and involvement.
Maintain appropriate standards of behavior, mutual respect and safety.
Make learning goals clear to students.
Use appropriate instruction techniques.
Use appropriate questioning techniques.
