About The Position
This position involves teaching Social Studies and serving as an Assistant Boys' Basketball Coach at Bridgeland High School for the 2026-2027 school year. The role requires developing and maintaining a classroom environment conducive to effective teaching and learning, with regular and reliable attendance being an essential job function. The position is a probationary/term contract for 187 days.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university
- Eligible for a valid Texas teacher certificate appropriate for teaching assignment
- General knowledge of coaching techniques and strategies
- Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules and regulations
- Demonstrates leadership in working with diverse students, staff, families, and communities.
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of four (4) years of coaching experience in a formal educational setting
- Experience as a coach in more than one sport
