About The Position
This position involves developing and maintaining a classroom environment conducive to effective teaching and learning, along with coaching duties. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function. The role requires working outside and inside, with frequent exposure to noise, district-wide and state-wide travel, prolonged and irregular hours, and moderate exposure to vehicle fumes and moving vehicles. The position also requires maintaining emotional control under stress.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university.
- Eligible for a valid Texas teacher certificate appropriate for teaching assignment.
- General knowledge of coaching techniques and strategies.
- Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules and regulations.
- Demonstrates leadership in working with diverse students, staff, families, and communities.
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of four (4) years of coaching experience in a formal educational setting.
- Experience as a coach in more than one sport.
