University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We’re responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects. Position Summary Temporary, Non-Exempt, Full Time, Benefited position through 6/30/2026 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance). Salary: $3,206.60 to 3,466.60 per month Location: CSUSB Campus Children's Center. Work Schedule 40 hours per week. Schedule to be arranged, but typically, Monday-Friday from 9:00AM to 5:30PM. Some nights and weekends may be required. Potential summer 4/10 schedule. First Review Deadline This position will remain open until filled. Typical Activities Under minimal supervision of the Children's Center Director the Teacher will work independently to: Serve as a Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP) role model, demonstrating effective teacher-child interactions and supporting the daily operations of a university-based early childhood education program. This role includes preparing and implementing developmentally appropriate activities tailored to each child’s individual needs across key areas, including language, social-emotional development, creativity, science, cognitive growth, multicultural awareness, and physical and perceptual development. The incumbent will work collaboratively with children, staff, families, and university students. Responsibilities include supervising and supporting undergraduate and graduate students, facilitating student observations, and participating in research and internship programs within the classroom setting. The position requires maintaining accurate records in accordance with State guidelines, including child assessments and developmental evaluations. The incumbent will communicate effectively with parents, including conducting parent-teacher conferences, and contribute to a positive school-family partnership. Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with State licensing regulations and health and safety standards, assisting in overall classroom and center supervision, and supporting program quality. This is a flexible, team-oriented role that supports both preschool classrooms by floating as needed, providing staff coverage for breaks and lunches, and ensuring continuity of care and instruction throughout the day. Limited travel may be required for training, conferences and other professional development opportunities.
