About The Position
This position is for a Chemistry Teacher within the Paterson Public Schools district. The role requires an individual who can foster a positive learning environment and effectively teach chemistry to K-12 students. The district is committed to diversity and inclusion and seeks candidates who can contribute to a diverse school community. This posting is open for ten (10) consecutive days following the date posted or until filled, pending budget availability.
Requirements
- Must hold acceptable NJ K-12 Chemistry Certification.
- Knowledge of assigned area content and content-related pedagogy.
- Ability to create and maintain a climate of respect and fairness for all students.
- Strong communication, managerial, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective principles of teaching and learning.
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a diverse school community.
- Ability to effectively motivate and assess students academically and socially.
- Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
