About The Position

Responsible for developing, planning, organizing, and implementing a Career and Technical Education (CTE) instructional program for students through curriculum, lesson plans, and educational programs. Ensures procedures are followed to maintain safety and security and to meet federal, state, and local regulations. The anticipated vacancy is for the Agricultural Program - Natural Resources at middle-school level at Hudson Academy in Hudson, Florida. This is a 196-day instructional position. The role includes a vocational agriculture teacher supplement of $2,329 and 20 additional days for summer, holidays, etc. The position is full-time and benefit eligible. For secondary education, the position may require teaching an additional period beyond the base contract; if so, additional compensation is paid at the effective negotiated rate as a supplement, in equal payments according to the District payroll calendar, and is considered salary for Florida Retirement System purposes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or approval by or participation in a state-approved certification pathway program.
• Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate in the field or District CTE Certification, or a valid statement of eligibility.
• Industry certification/license when applicable.
