About The Position
Paterson Public Schools is hiring a Teacher Biology for a leave replacement. The position requires a Secondary Biology certificate and knowledge of the NGSS. Candidates should be able to use effective instructional practices, analyze data to guide instruction, and communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, and the community. The district may accept alternatives to the listed qualifications if the Superintendent finds them appropriate and acceptable. The position is pending budget availability. Requirements
- Must hold a Secondary Biology certificate.
- Knowledge of the NGSS.
- Knowledge of effective instructional practices and strategies.
- Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction.
- Experience working with high school students.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character.
- Critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities, and respect for others.
- Computer literacy and ability to use interactive computer instructional software.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community.
