About The Position

Responsible for developing, planning, organizing, and implementing an instructional program for students through curriculum, lesson plans, and educational programs, while ensuring that all procedures are followed to maintain safety and security and to meet federal, state, and local regulations. This is a temporary 1-year assignment for the 2026-2027 school year. Employment will end after the current school year in which the tutoring role began, and the District is not obligated to offer a position for the following school year. This is an instructional position for 196 days per year, full-time, and benefit-eligible. The specialty is English, and the grade level is Middle School (Grade 6-8). This position may require teaching an additional period beyond the base contract, with additional compensation at the effective negotiated rate for instructing this additional period. This amount will be paid as a supplement and disbursed in equal payments based on the District’s established payroll calendar. This amount is considered part of the salary for Florida Retirement System purposes. Pasco County Schools utilizes the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse for fingerprinting and Level II background screening.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution OR Approval by or participation in a state-approved certification pathway program
Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate or District-issued adjunct certification OR Valid statement of eligibility
Fingerprinting and Level II background screening
