About The Position

Guidepost Montessori is hiring a Toddler Assistant Teacher for its Hampshire school. Assistant Guides support children ages 0–6 in a Montessori classroom, helping foster independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. The role supports a mixed-age classroom serving infants, toddlers, and Children’s House children ages 3–6, and helps maintain a calm, engaging environment where children can explore and learn at their own pace.

The Assistant Teacher helps prepare intentional learning spaces and supports children through individualized and small-group activities with respect, patience, and care. The position also involves building children’s confidence and supporting their development. Guidepost offers Montessori diploma training, professional development, mentorship, and opportunities for career growth.

Requirements

• Meet state education and experience requirements.
• Have experience working with children ages 3–6 in a school or childcare setting.
• Bring a positive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
• Have a genuine love for working with young children.
• Be interested in learning and growing within the Montessori approach.

Nice To Haves

• Prior Montessori experience is welcome but not required.
