About The Position

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate assistant teacher to join our high-energy team! The Mother’s Day Out (MDO) Assistant Teacher will assist the teacher in the 2-year-old classroom and work under the direction of the MDO Coordinator to lead, grow, and direct MDO for pre-K students.

Requirements

Profess Jesus Christ as Savior and lead by His example: in word and deed with biblical teaching
Must demonstrate knowledge of the care required for the ages of the children you are working with and be physically able to hold, carry, and lift small children.
Must have a genuine heart for children's ministry and care.
Will possess the ability to communicate with parents and teachers effectively.
Have current CPR and first aid training, and/or be willing to get certified at the time of hire.
Must be 18 years of age or older and pass a background screening and drug test.

Nice To Haves

A minimum of 1 year of experience teaching a preschool curriculum is preferred

Responsibilities

Assist children in the fundamentals needed to start kindergarten successfully, including but not limited to colors, numbers, letters, and positive classroom discipline.
Maintain a calm, loving, child-centered atmosphere in our classrooms that is conducive to learning.
Honor, serve, and show respect to our families, their children, and members of the childcare team.
Attend MDO staff/training meetings as required.
Maintain required health/safety training credentials.
