About The Position

Assist teacher in providing an appropriate program for all children and maintain positive relationships with children and parents. This is a part-time position with 15 hours per week, scheduled Monday to Friday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Requirements

• One year of work experience with small children preferred.
• None.

Responsibilities

• Assists the teacher in providing a developmentally appropriate program for all of the children.
• Assists in creating an environment that supports children's growth and development.
• Develops and maintains a positive relationship with all of the children and their families.
• Effectively guides children's behavior in an age-appropriate and positive manner.
• Constructively participates in staff meetings and meetings with supervisor.
• Meets the physical, social, cognitive, emotional and cultural needs of individual children.
• Attends 15 hours of training every year.
• Communicates appropriately with families regarding children's daily activities both verbally and written as needed.
• Ensures the safety of the children and promotes good health habits.
