About The Position

Carolina Kids Child Development Center, part of Cadence Education, is seeking an energetic and passionate Teacher - 3's to join its preschool team. The teacher will support children’s development through engaging physical activities that encourage movement, exercise, gross motor skills, teamwork, and cooperation. The role involves creating a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment, communicating with parents and caregivers, and keeping the gym space and equipment clean, organized, and safely stored. The position may be part-time or full-time, with hours typically scheduled during preschool operating hours.

Requirements

Proven experience working with young children, particularly in a preschool or daycare environment.
Solid understanding of child development principles and ability to design age-appropriate physical activities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage and motivate young children.
CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to a dynamic preschool environment.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or bachelor's degree in physical education, early childhood education, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan and lead structured activities, including games, exercises, and obstacle courses, to stimulate gross motor skills development.
Foster a safe and encouraging environment where children can explore different movements and activities.
Customize activities to meet children’s diverse needs and abilities, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.
Instill teamwork, cooperation, and sportsmanship through interactive group activities and games.
Maintain open communication with parents and caregivers, sharing updates on children’s day.
Keep the gym space clean and organized, and ensure equipment is well-maintained and safely stored.
