The TDS Cell & Gene Therapy Development Analytical Development (AD) organization is seeking a candidate interested in product characterization for advanced therapy modalities. In this role, the Co-Op will develop and establish an end-to-end automated Digital PCR (dPCR)-Based Method for Lentiviral Vector Quality Attributes. Analyze and interpret experimental results using analytical and statistical techniques. Actively participate in weekly meetings with internal and external collaborators. Participate in technical discussions on design of experiments to fill gaps in knowledge. Maintain a laboratory notebook and other technical documents according to required guidelines. Provide other project support as needed.

Requirements

  • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biological Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and related majors are preferred, or related fields.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
  • Candidates must be actively enrolled in an accredited University for the duration of a co-op assignment pursuing a Bachelor’s or equivalent experience, Master’s, or PhD degree or equivalent experience.
  • Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., FI, H1-B status)
  • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills is required

Nice To Haves

  • For students pursuing their Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, Juniors or Seniors are preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills are preferred
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and initiatives while performing results
  • Must be a self-starter works independently while supplying to the team goals
  • Proven leadership/participation with campus programs and/or community service activities is desired
  • Students with basic laboratory skills and prior experience in research, experimental design & execution, and data analysis preferred.
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
  • Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
