About The Position

This internship is designed to provide hands-on learning experience within a specific department or program. Interns will gain practical knowledge and skills by assisting with and supporting various services and programs. The role involves collaboration with internal departments and contributing to departmental projects and needs. Additionally, interns will support general office duties and perform other assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Participating in Tribal Career Readiness Program
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for automobile insurance.
• Must be able to pass a background check and sign a statement of confidentiality.
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Constant work with computers, including extended periods of keyboarding; and repetitive motion of the hands and wrists.
• Significant amounts of standing or walking.
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Refrain from any private business or activity, which might cause personal interest to conflict with or affect the impartial discharge of duties to the Kalispel Tribe of Indians.
• Demonstrate personal integrity and serve and represent the Kalispel Tribe in a professional manner.
• Be free and appear free of any activity, agreement, business investment, or interest in situations, which may interfere with professional representation.

Nice To Haves

• Local travel may be required.
• Some work may be performed outside general business hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support in all of the services and programs.
• Work collaboratively with the department or other departments.
• Assist the department on projects or department needs.
• Assist and support the department in carrying out office duties or as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
