About The Position
This position requires applicants to have a strong foundational knowledge of federal, state, and local government frameworks, paired with a demonstrated commitment to driving student achievement on standardized social studies assessments. Instructional applicants will be required to submit specific documents upon being offered a teaching position. To expedite the hiring process, it is recommended that these requirements be prepared once applications for teaching jobs begin. Certification Information: Upon being offered an instructional job that requires certification, copies of the Florida Educator’s Certificate, Statement of Eligibility (Letter from the Florida Department of Education), or Active/Valid Out-of-State Certification (if applicable) will need to be submitted. If a Florida Educator’s Certificate or Florida Statement of Eligibility letter is not possessed, an online application can be submitted. Education Credentials / Transcripts: Official transcripts from all colleges or universities where a degree was earned must be submitted. Foreign Education Credentials: Foreign education must be evaluated by an agency approved by the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE). A course-by-course evaluation is required for college-level education, and a translation is not the same as an evaluation. The District only accepts educational credentials from institutions accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
