About The Position

This is an interim position for a Kindergarten Teacher within the Elementary school level. The School District of Palm Beach County is a drug and alcohol-free workplace, and all employment categories are subject to drug testing. Some positions may also require a pre-employment medical examination. Non-instructional applicants for certain clerical positions must pass a Keyboarding Test meeting the required Words Per Minute (WPM). Finalists may be required to undergo background screening through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. Instructional applicants offered a position will need to submit specific documents, including Florida Educator's Certificate or Statement of Eligibility, and official transcripts from all degree-granting institutions. Foreign education credentials must be evaluated by an agency approved by the Florida Department of Education.

Requirements

Completion of forms required by federal and state agencies and the School Board.
Completion of forms related to the employee benefits package.
Completion of drug testing.
Applicants for some clerical positions will be required to take a Keyboarding Test and meet the Word per Minute (WPM) requirement.
Finalists may be required to undergo a background screening through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
Instructional applicants will be required to submit copies of Florida Educator’s Certificate or Statement of Eligibility (Letter from the Florida Department of Education) or Active/Valid Out-of-State Certification.
Must submit official transcripts from all colleges or universities from which a degree was earned.
Foreign education must be evaluated by an agency that is approved by the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE). A course by course evaluation is required for college-level education.
Educational credentials must be from institutions accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
