About The Position
Provide tutoring services to TCDM students in approved subjects, facilitating academic success and promoting effective study strategies. Ideal for experienced students with strong communication skills and a passion for helping peers succeed.
Requirements
- Must be a current KYCO & KYCOM (with approval from Dean) or TCDM student
- Minimum grade of 'B' (85%) in the course(s) to be tutor.
- Strong note-taking, effective communication, professionalism, and tutoring or mentoring experience.
- Demonstrates proficient hand skills while working in the lab.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred past dental experience
Responsibilities
- Guide and support students in becoming more successful, independent learners
- Help students master course concepts and applications under advisement of the course director
- Integrate effective study strategies and promote academic success
- Encourage systematic approaches to studying
- Use effective and respectful communication skills with diverse individuals
- Maintain consistent communication with supervisor.
- Abide by FERPA regulations and uphold confidentiality at all times
- Demonstrate clear and effective communication
- Utilize organized note-taking and academic documentation
- Establish positive relationships with students, faculty, and staff
- Participate in offered professional development
