Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or another relevant field required
Proficient in use of computers and basic software applications
Above average written and verbal communication skills
Ability to perform under time pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to work overtime periodically throughout the year; mainly between mid January and mid April

Nice To Haves

A hybrid work schedule will be considered after six months of employment.

Responsibilities

Works on various tax preparation projects under direct supervision of a superior (depending on the tax return, the supervisor could be a Senior Accountant, Manager or Director)
Prepares business and personal income tax returns; including tax returns for some financial statement related returns
Performs light research projects in the area of taxation, including payroll and sales tax
Communicates with clients regarding information needed or clarification of issues
Actively pursue CPA certification
