About The Position

CS&L CPAs is seeking an experienced Tax Senior to prepare and file basic to advanced Federal and State tax returns. The role involves working directly with clients, mentoring team members, and contributing to engagements in a collaborative team environment. The Tax Senior communicates with Supervisors, Managers, and Principals to support quality assurance and keep workflows organized, efficient, and professional. The position is remote near Raleigh, North Carolina, with work-from-home flexibility. During peak periods, employees are required to work 60-hour charge weeks; the rest of the year, hours remain regular for seniors and supervisors.

Requirements

Generally, a minimum of 4+ years of relevant tax experience within a public accounting firm.
Experience preparing Forms 1040, 1120S, and 1065.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Solid understanding of individual and business taxation.
Ability and willingness to work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Forms 1041, 1120, and 709.
Master’s degree.
CPA license.

Responsibilities

Prepare and file basic to advanced-level Federal and State tax returns in a timely manner.
Maintain open communication with Supervisors, Managers, and Principals to support quality assurance and organized, efficient, professional workflows.
Work in a team environment and assist in all phases of engagements.
