About The Position

This role offers an amazing opportunity to learn all aspects of the US international and global tax cycle, including tax provision, tax compliance, audit defense, and planning. The ideal candidate will learn and assist with a wide variety of tax matters, such as foreign tax provisions review, US international and Pillar Two tax provision calculations and compliance, including related tax technology tools and processes. Responsibilities also include foreign audits for assigned jurisdictions, transfer pricing adjustment process and compliance, US and global tax planning, review of W-8s/W-9s, and special projects. Critical to success in this role are the abilities to learn, manage multiple workstreams, find solutions, achieve results, and communicate effectively. Internal training and support will be provided across all areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • Minimum of 3 years of tax experience in public accounting or corporate environment
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
  • Analytical, forward-thinker who is organized and motivated to learn and achieve results

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or MS in taxation a plus
  • CPA preferred, or serious candidate planning to sit for the CPA exam
  • experience in SAP, OneStream, TXP, and Alteryx a plus

Responsibilities

  • Review quarterly tax provision calculations for assigned foreign entities, working with local finance teams to identify and quantify Permanent and Temporary book-tax and GAAP-GAAP differences and resulting current and deferred tax expenses and liabilities/assets. Review the annual return-to-provision calculations and tax account adjustments.
  • Learn and prepare US international tax calculations, including foreign entities’ earnings and profits, Subpart F income, GILTI/NCTI, foreign source royalties, §986(c) and §987 foreign exchange gains/losses on earnings distributions, §861 expense allocations, and foreign tax credits.
  • Learn and prepare Pillar Two/Global Minimum Tax concepts and calculations, including Transitional and Permanent Safe Harbors, Simplified and Jurisdictional ETRs, GILTI/NCTI pushdowns, QDMTTs, IIRs, and UTPRs.
  • While achieving the above, learn and operate US international and Pillar Two models, including internal models, the cloud-based KPMG ITRA, PTEP and P2A tools, and processes for moving data, including use of Alteryx.
  • Compile and prepare information for the external firm preparing the US information returns for ITT’s foreign entities, including Forms 5471, 8858, 1118, 8992, 8993, 5452, 5713, 8975 CbCR and annual election/statements, based on updated Q4 provision calculations and models. Review completed forms.
  • Learn and assist with the annual transfer pricing adjustment calculation process, involving compilation and analysis of margins for intercompany transactions, comparison to applicable benchmarks, and communication of calculated adjustments. Coordinate the booking of journal entries with the HQ Consolidations accounting team.
  • Compile and prepare information for the external firm preparing the transfer pricing master file and local transfer pricing reports. Review completed reports.
  • Assist with the review of Forms W-8 submitted by ITT vendors as requested by the P2P/vendor onboarding team.
  • Assist with planning by compiling information, running what-if scenarios in US international models, and creating transaction-specific models where necessary.
  • Potential to assist with distribution/repatriation planning and lead global cross-functional teams of external and internal advisors, including Legal, Treasury, and Finance colleagues, to execution.
