About The Position

A typical day as a Tax Senior Associate might include preparing individual, business, and other types of tax returns for clients in various entities and industries. You will work with the tax team to ensure all components of the tax process are performed, including tax planning, client interaction, and special tax projects. This role involves gathering relevant tax-related information from clients to prepare accurate tax returns, analyzing tax situations from various angles to ensure maximum tax benefit, and developing and communicating solutions to the engagement team and client. You will also prepare accounting-related reports in a paperless office environment and train and mentor lower-level employees in the tax department. Attending training seminars, professional development, and networking events is also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Active CPA license or working towards obtaining CPA license preferred; Enrolled Agent (EA) certification also accepted.
  • 2-4 years of tax experience within public accounting.
  • Well-rounded knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations.
  • Actively stay up-to-date on the ever-changing tax industry's regulations and policies.
  • Self-starter who enjoys working independently and in a team environment.
  • Able to focus on complex tasks and will quickly understand the firm’s comprehensive compliance processes.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.
