About The Position

CohnReznick is hiring a Tax Senior Associate for its Commercial Real Estate team, supporting the Real Estate Industry Group. The position is based out of the Los Angeles or Woodland Hills office and is hybrid, with team members alternating between remote and office work. The role focuses on business tax compliance and advisory work, client service, tax research, and supporting and guiding junior staff. The team works with commercial real estate clients and offers cross-functional learning and opportunities to contribute to the real estate industry.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant tax experience in a public accounting firm.
Exceptional client service and communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
Strong tax research and writing skills.
Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Competence with tax compliance and research software, including GoSystems, BNA portfolio and projection, CCH, and RIA.
Solid project management and organizational skills, including the ability to multitask.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation.
CPA, JD, or EA credential.
Flow-through experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review complex business tax returns, including Forms 1065, 1120S, and 1120.
Conduct tax research and provide recommendations on business tax matters.
Manage and train junior staff, providing guidance and quality review.
Communicate directly with clients to gather information and resolve issues.
Maintain awareness of federal, state, and local tax law changes.
Support the team with project management and prioritization.
Use various department software platforms.
