Senior Tax Associate, Real Estate
About The Position
Aprio is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join its Real Estate practice. The role delivers tax planning, consulting, and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of middle- to large-sized real estate and related clients. The associate works closely with firm leadership to develop and execute client-tailored tax strategies, prepare and review federal and state income tax returns, and research complex tax issues. The position offers technical growth, client relationship-building, and professional development in a collaborative tax practice, with minimal to no travel. It is a hybrid role based in Dedham, Massachusetts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 3–5 years of experience in federal tax consulting and/or compliance in public accounting.
- Experience preparing and reviewing Corporate, S-Corp., and/or Partnership tax returns.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in tax software and related technology.
Nice To Haves
- Real estate tax focus or relevant industry experience.
- Master's degree in Taxation.
- Licensed CPA.
Responsibilities
- Provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services to a portfolio of real estate and related clients.
- Collaborate with partners to design and deliver tax strategies aligned with each client's objectives.
- Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for Corporate, S-Corp., and Partnership entities.
- Research and analyze complex tax issues, and communicate findings to clients and engagement teams.
- Build and maintain client relationships through proactive communication and responsive, high-quality service.
