About The Position
This is an internship position for undergraduate or graduate students seeking experience in public accounting. Interns will participate in the Promoting Opportunities & Outstanding Leaders (POOL) program, gaining exposure to tax, audit, and consulting services across various industries. The program aims to provide broad exposure to the firm's services and niches, better equipping interns to serve clients effectively.
Requirements
- Expected or completed Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Economics from an accredited college/university
- Superior communication skills
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Ambitious with a desire to continually improve
- Must submit resume, a brief cover letter, and a copy of updated undergraduate and graduate (if applicable) transcript(s) (unofficial transcripts are acceptable).
- All documents must be uploaded in PDF format.
- Strong academic performance is valued.
Responsibilities
- Develop a broad understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts
- Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to senior associates and managers
- Review and evaluate internal control systems, policies, and procedures
- Examine and organize accounts and tax records
- Compute taxes owed according to prescribed rates, laws, and regulations
- Assist in conducting tax research, studies, and special projects
