Seasonal Experienced Tax Preparer
About The Position
Jackson Hewitt is seeking experienced seasonal Tax Preparers with at least three tax seasons of hands-on experience in a professional tax office. The role offers hourly pay, performance-based incentives, flexible scheduling, and opportunities to grow a client base, expand tax knowledge, and pursue leadership opportunities. Candidates must pass a tax knowledge assessment to qualify for the Experienced Tax Pro role. Tax Preparers prepare individual federal and state tax returns, interview clients, identify applicable credits and deductions, and provide an exceptional client experience. The company provides paid training and free continuing tax education, along with support for candidates interested in pursuing Enrolled Agent status. The listed compensation is $16.00 per hour.
Requirements
- At least 3 tax seasons of hands-on experience working in a professional tax office.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Confidence working directly with clients.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependability, attention to detail, and willingness to continue learning.
- Successfully pass a tax knowledge assessment for the Experienced Tax Pro role.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in tax preparation, accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or customer service is a plus.
- Interest in building a client base, expanding tax knowledge, and pursuing leadership opportunities.
Responsibilities
