About The Position

Jackson Hewitt is seeking experienced seasonal Tax Preparers with at least three tax seasons of hands-on experience working in a professional tax office. Candidates must pass a tax knowledge assessment to qualify as an Experienced Tax Pro.

The position involves preparing individual federal and state tax returns, interviewing clients, identifying applicable credits and deductions, and delivering a strong client experience. Tax Preparers are expected to maintain their knowledge through ongoing education and training.

Requirements

• At least 3 tax seasons of hands-on experience working in a professional tax office.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Confidence working directly with clients.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependability, attention to detail, and willingness to continue learning.
• Successfully pass a tax knowledge assessment for the Experienced Tax Pro role.
• PTIN certification.
