About The Position
Jackson Hewitt is hiring experienced tax preparers for the upcoming tax season. The role prepares accurate federal and state tax returns, identifies deductions and credits, and provides exceptional customer service using the company’s proprietary tax preparation software. Seasonal positions are available on a part-time or full-time basis, with flexible scheduling. The company offers hourly pay with performance-based bonus opportunities, employee discounts, telemedicine and virtual healthcare access, free training, continuing education, and ongoing support. Employees may have the opportunity to return in future tax seasons or advance into leadership roles.
Requirements
- At least one season of professional tax preparation experience.
- Knowledge of individual federal and state income tax returns.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN); assistance with application or renewal is available.
