About The Position
Jackson Hewitt is hiring experienced tax preparers for the upcoming tax season. The role prepares accurate federal and state tax returns, identifies deductions and credits, and provides exceptional customer service using the company’s proprietary tax preparation software. Seasonal positions are available on a part-time or full-time basis. The company offers hourly wages with performance-based bonus opportunities, flexible scheduling, telemedicine and virtual healthcare for the employee’s household, employee discounts, tax preparation discounts, free training, continuing education, and ongoing support. There may be opportunities to return for future tax seasons or advance into leadership roles.
Requirements
- At least one season of professional tax preparation experience.
- Knowledge of individual federal and state income tax returns.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN); assistance with application or renewal is available.
