About The Position

Jackson Hewitt is seeking experienced tax preparers for the upcoming tax season. The role is seasonal and requires at least three tax seasons of hands-on experience in a professional tax office. Tax preparers prepare individual federal and state returns, interview clients, identify tax credits and deductions, and provide a strong client experience. The position offers hourly pay, performance incentives, flexible scheduling, paid training, continuing tax education, and opportunities to grow a client base or pursue leadership roles. Candidates must pass a tax knowledge assessment for the Experienced Tax Pro role. The listed compensation is $16.00 per hour. PTIN certification is required.

Requirements

• At least 3 tax seasons of hands-on experience working in a professional tax office.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Confidence working directly with clients.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependability, attention to detail, and willingness to continue learning.
• Successfully pass a tax knowledge assessment for the Experienced Tax Pro role.
• PTIN certification.

• Experience in tax preparation, accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or customer service.
