About The Position
Jackson Hewitt is seeking experienced tax preparers for the upcoming tax season. The Experienced Tax Preparer prepares accurate federal and state tax returns, identifies deductions and credits, and provides exceptional customer service using the company’s proprietary tax preparation software. Seasonal positions are available on a part-time or full-time basis, with flexible scheduling. The role offers hourly pay and performance-based bonus opportunities. Jackson Hewitt also describes employee discounts, discounted tax preparation services, free training, continuing education, and ongoing support. Employees may have the opportunity to return for future tax seasons or advance into leadership roles.
Requirements
- At least one season of professional tax preparation experience; two or more seasons are preferred.
- Knowledge of individual federal and state income tax returns.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN); Jackson Hewitt can assist with the application or renewal process.
