About The Position

This fully remote role involves preparing individual and business tax returns, handling off-season projects such as tax projections, notice resolution, and communicating directly with clients. There is an opportunity to learn and review work with advancement potential.

Requirements

3-5 years of recent tax experience in a public accounting firm.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to work well with clients and team members.
Past experience working in a fully remote workspace.
Comfortable working directly with clients, explaining complex tax issues in easy-to-understand terms.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Technically strong.
Enjoys working in a technology-friendly environment.
Must have CPA firm experience.

Nice To Haves

Preparation of 990, 1041, 706 and 709 returns.

Responsibilities

Prepare individual and business tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S).
Prepare more complex tax returns including multi-state, flow through entities, multi-tiered partnerships, and consolidated corporations.
Assist with off-season projects such as tax projections, reasonable compensation studies, and tax notice resolution.
Conduct tax research as needed.
Handle client communications through portal messaging, phone calls, and video meetings.
