Tax Preparer Assistant - Franchise Location

About The Position
As a Tax Preparer Assistant at a franchise location, you will help clients make confident, informed decisions about their lives, careers, and money while building client relationships. You will support the beginning and closing portions of tax interviews, help prepare and review returns with clients, complete bookkeeping procedures, and ensure clients receive superior service. Additional state and local requirements may apply.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reading and math skills needed to begin and finish the tax return interview.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
- Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.
Nice To Haves
- Additional coursework in math, accounting, or finance.
Responsibilities
- Enter client and W-2 information into the tax program at the beginning of the tax interview.
- Assemble the tax return, obtain required signatures, review the finished product with the client, and complete bookkeeping procedures at the close of the interview.
- Ensure all H&R Block clients receive superior service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
