About The Position
As a Tax Preparer Assistant at a franchise location, you will help clients make confident, informed decisions while building client relationships. You will support the beginning and closing of tax interviews, provide service to H&R Block clients, and complete other assigned duties. Additional state and local requirements may apply.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
- Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.
- Additional state and local requirements may apply.
Nice To Haves
- Additional course work in math, accounting, or finance.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program.
- Assist with closing the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures.
- Ensure H&R Block clients receive superior service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
